ARANEA are a music and dance company, led by Lucy Forde and Charlotte Spencer, whose focus is on devising and producing integrated music and dance performances. Their work combines contemporary classical music, electronics and contemporary dance with musical and dance influences from around the world.
Artistic Policy: To create music and dance which draws on the individuality and creativity of its performers. To develop work where visual and sonic worlds fuse - where there is no hierarchy between art forms, rather that they inform one another in the moment of creation. To remain honest, human and present in the moment of performance. To create compelling, imaginative, yet accessible work which engages every audience.
